오늘은 월요병이 있었다.
기운이 나지 않고 머리가 아팠다.
할일이 잔뜩 있는데다 자꾸 새로운 일이 치고 들어왔다.
복무계획서, 실습계획표, 종합전투력측정준비, 제식훈련준비(분열)....
의욕은 꺾였다.
16시에 인원들 모아 놓고 체력단련 시키려고 했는데 다른 부대는 분열 연습을 한다.
나는 준비도 안 됐는데…
병사들 앞에서 우물쭈물 하는 모습을 보였다.
말을 할 때에도 스스로 거부감이 들었다.

학원에 가서도 별로 의욕이 나지 않았다.
10분정도 늦었는데 발성연습(개인연습이다.)은 하지 않고
바로 발표수업을 했다.

발표수업을 할 때 생각했던 것은.

1. 배에 바람을 넣고 말하자. (복식호흡법 – 최근 ‘목소리 누구나 바꿀 수 있다/우지은’을 보고 있다.)

2. 다르게 말하자. 기존의 내 말하기 방식에서 탈피하여 말해보자. (- 해외에 나갈 때 자유를 느낀다고 한다. 그래서 내 행동을 보고 정말 이 모습이 정말 나인가 하고 생각할 정도로 다른 나를 발견하는 경우가 종종있다고 하는데 이는 그동안 자신 스스로도 그렇도 나를 아는 사람들이 나의 모습과 행동을 규정한데 있다. 학원에 온 것은 나를 변화시키려고 온 것이다. 그동안의 내 말하기 방식에 익숙해져 어느덧 그 방법대로 말하려는 나를 발견했다. 이것에 탈피하여 과감하게 다른 방식으로 말하려고 애섰다.)

이것이었다.

오늘 원장님이 한 이야기에 내 머리가 한대 맞았다. 순간 번뜩하고 깨달았다.
그 이야기는 이렇다.
원장 스스로도 말이 잘 될 때가 있고 어떤 때는 말이 잘 안 될때가 있다는 것이다.
자신이 하고 싶은 말일 때는 말이 잘 되지만 말을 하고 싶은 마음이 생기지 않았을 때는 머뭇거리기도 하고 더듬기도 한다는 것이다. 그러면서 “소화”라는 말을 했다. 소화가 되지 않은 말을 하기 때문에 말을 하기가 주저된다는 것이다.

나는 이것을 들으면서 자신의 위에서 되새김질해 새끼에게 고기를 주는 새를 떠올렸다.

바로 그렇다. 내가 소화가 되지 않고서야 다른 사람을 소화시킬 수 없다. 내가 감흥이 나지 않고서야 다른 사람을 감흥시킬 수 없다.

이 내용을 다음과 같이 시작했다.
“지금 바깥은 맑지만 제 머리속에는 천둥번개가 치는군요. 무슨 말이냐구요? 머리가 번쩍이며 깨달음을 얻었기 때문입니다….. “

앞으로의 내 스피치 연습 행보
- 이선미 스피치랩 등록: 12월강좌부터 등록할지 고민중이다. 현재 해커스 토익 12월 오전 등록해뒀고 오후에는 현대스피치에 갈 수도 있기 때문이다. 이곳은 매달 일반인을 대상으로 강의가 열리고 이번달에는 11시_{2시, 다음달에는 3시}6시로 번갈아 가면서 개강한다. 8주과정이고 60만원이다. 이번달에 현대스피치와 해커스를 등록했으니 다음달에 등록을 하고자 하고 당장이라도 등록하고 배우고 싶다.
- 비디오 카메라와 녹음기 구입하여 내 스피치를 찍어 객관적으로 관찰하고 싶다.
- 논리학원에 다니기.

- 논리적인 글을 읽고 키워드 파악. 한 키워드는 한 의미뭉치이다. 이 키워드를 순서대로 논리적인 글을 말해나가는 연습하기.
- 신문 많이 읽기. 사설…

스피치 책 구하기(예정)

학원에 좋은 책이 하나 있었다.
원장에게 빌려달라고 하니 책은 빌려주지 않는다며 거절당했다.
책을 빌려주지 않는 사람이 있다. 무리한 부탁이었을 수도 있다.
책은 많이 괜찮았다. 상황별로 적절하게 쓰일만한 내용이 있었고 두꺼웠다.
현대경영연구소에서 나온 책이었다. 인터넷서점에서 검색을 해보니 없다.
관련책을 구해서 상황에 맞는 적절한 말을 읽어 연습할 것.
신문사설도 꾸준히 읽을 것.

댄스 배우기

현재 나의 관심사는 인관관계 기술을 키우는 것.
스피치학원은 등록하여 다니고 있으며 신문을 읽고 있다.

가까운 문화센터에 댄스프로그램을 찾아 보았다.
일반 학원은 학원비가 30만원이 넘고 시간대가 맞지 않았다 .
한 문화센터에 화, 목에 4만원 프로그램이 있어 등록을 해볼 생각이다.

성격개선할 목적으로 춤을 배울 것이다.

스피치 능력 기르기가 최대 중대사.

지난달 내려와서 이취임식하기전에 학원에 등록을 했다.
우연히 길을 가다가 스피치 학원 간판이 눈에 띄어서 전화를 걸어 문의를 했고,
화요일 학원에 들러서 문의를 했고 직접 연단에 서서 연습했다.
연습할 수 있는 기회를 가질 수 있다는 것이 마음에 들어 당일날 바로 등록을 했다. 스피치는 크게, 천천히, 또박또박 그리고 감정을 실어서 하라는 말이 인상깊었다. 다음날 수요일 스피치 연습을 했고 그 다음날일 10.29목요일 중대장 이취임식까지 했따.

그 뒤로 당직근무나 다른 일로 못 간적이 몇번 있었다. 월, 수, 금요일에 토요일까지 왠만하면 가서 연습을 했다. 한주 전부터는 신문 사설읽기를 시작했다. 소리내어서 읽기. 스피치는 내가 꼭 길러야할 능력이다.

현대웅변스피치, 고순조, 실수를통해서배움, 사설, 칼럼, 신문, 읽기,

지난주 수, 금, 토요일은 스피치 학원에 가지 못했다.
수요일은 족구후 회식참석으로, 금요일은 중위 선후배장교들과 회식으로, 토요일은 당직근무로..
가고싶었으나 못간게 아쉬웠다. 대신에 신문을 많이 읽었다. 소리내어서.
그리고 오늘 학원에 오랜만에 갔다. 오늘 내가 읽은 내용은 실수와 실패는 재산이라는 내용이다.
이 글을 읽으면서 내가 말하면서 하는 실수에 대해서 어떻게 생각하느냐가 중요하다,
실수에 대해서 주눅들으면 아무것도 배우지 못한다.
실수에 대해서 실수를 인정하고 보완한다면 배울 수 있다.
실수를 안 하는 것이 중요한 것이 아니라 같은 실수를 두번 반복하지 않는 것이 중요하다.
그리고 말할 때 배짱을 생각해 보았다. 말하는 것은 나름의 연기다.
두번 연단에 나가서 말을 했는데 자유스런 이야기가 술술 나왔다.

첫번째는 실수나 실패가 재산이다라는 명제가 진실이면 저는 억만장자가 되었을 겁니다라고
유머를 한다고 했는데 반응을 뽑아내지는 못했다. 미소를 짓지 않아서다. 이를 시작으로 이야기를 풀어나갔고,
두번째는 연사들이 이야기를 한 내용중에서 네트워크는 성공인프라라는 내용을 토대로 한 개인이 무인도에 있지 않은 이상 항상 사람과 마주치기 때문에 사람과의 관계를 잘 풀어나가는 사람은 모든 것이 다 잘 풀릴 것이고, 부까지 얻을 수 있다. 내의 가장 큰 관심사가 바로 이것이다. 그리고 예를 하나 들었다. 군조직이 상하급자가 뚜렷한 계급사회이고 명령이 있는 곳이지만 일방적으로 지시나 명령을 해서는 내가 원하는 방향으로 이끌고 갈 수 있는 것이 아니다. 처음 임관하고 나서는 근거없는 자신감으로 일방적으로 지시를 했지만 이제는 그렇게 하지 않는다. 그 방법은 스스로 하고 싶게 만드는 것이다. 예를 들어서 16시에는 체력단련을 해야하는데 그렇기 때문에 체력단련해라라고만 말하면 근무다 뭐다해서 잘 하지 않을 수가 있다. 하지만 몸을 만들어 나가면 전역을 할때쯤 여름 바다에 가서 여자를 꼬실 수 있다. 조금 경박할 수도 있지만 부하들의 눈높이에서 하고 싶도록 만드는 방법....
말이 술술 풀렸다. 정말 신물 사설을 소리내어 읽은 효가가 톡톡하다.
오늘 고순조 원장님이 말씀하신 내용에 와닿는 것이 많아서 가방에 가져간 책(유정아의 서울대 말하기 강의)에 좀 적었다 .

말을 잘하기 위해서는 말의 재료가 많아야 합니다.
요리를 잘하기 위해서는 요리의 재료가 많아야 합니다.
앞에선 연사는 요리사와 같습니다. 청중은 손님과도 같습니다.
요리사는 맛있는 요리로 손님의 구미에 맞도록 해야 맛있게 먹고 갑니다.
화재가 많아야하고 어휘가 풍부해야 합니다.

말을 알아듣는 데는 아무런 문제가 없지만 막상 말을 할 때에는 기억이 나지 않을 때가 있습니다.
인식언어와 활용언어가 다르기 때문입니다.
한번도 써보지 않은 언어는 입밖으로 내뱉기 어렵습니다.
회합이나 회의에서 말을 잘하기 위해서는 말하는 연습이 필요합니다.
방법은 있습니다. 신문 사설과 칼럼을 많이 읽어야 합니다.
세상 돌아가는 얘기를 알수 있고 고급어휘가 거기에 다 있습니다.
지식의 창고입니다. 1년동안 소리내어 읽으면 해박해집니다.
단어가 축척이 되어 무슨 말이든 들으면 그대로 흡수될 수 있습니다.
동화나 우솝이야기 또한 우습게 보면 안됩니다. 그런 내용도 활용이 됩니다.
많은 이야기거리를 입에 붙인 다음에 말을 해보라.

친구들과 술집에 들어갈 때 비록 자신이 계산을 하지 않더라도 돈이 있으면 여유롭지만,
돈이 없으면 불안합니다. 명사들은 여유가 있습니다. 이야기거리가 풍부하기 때문입니다.

토끼를 잡으려면 귀를 잡아야 합니다. 고양이를 잡으려면 목덜미를 잡아야합니다.
사람을 잡으려면 마음을 잡아야 합니다.
사설을 읽을 때 모래사장에서 금싸라기를 줍는 듯한 경우가 있습니다.
머리로 기억하는 것은 빨리 잊어 버리지만 가슴으로 기억하는 것은 오래 남습니다.

정말 도움이 많이 되었다.
매일 사설을 꼬박꼬박 소리내어 읽을 것이다.
오늘 승훈이가 용산에 와서 근처 호프집에서 흑맥주 한잔했다.
건대에 가서는 원할머니 보쌈을.
장안동에 가서는 성인나이트클럽에 갔다.

춤을 배우고 싶다.
유흥을 딱히 좋아하는 것은 아니지만 나이트클럽가서 자신없게 행동하는 것이 싫다.

나의 최대 관심사는 말하기다.
발음과 이야기꾼이 되고자 하는 것. 내가 갈망하고 있는 것이다.
그래서 요즘 신문을 부쩍 읽고 있다.
스피치학원에 등록한지 한주가 되었다.
아래 글은 스피치 학원의 홈페이지에 올려져 있는 글이다.
신문사설, 칼럼 읽기의 중요성을 말하고 있다.
2~3개월 꾸준히 연습할 것이다.
현재, 나에게는 이것이 절실하다.




< 말을 잘 하려면 >


말을 잘 하려면 먼저 풍부한 어휘를 가지고 있어야 한다.
어휘를 많이 안다는 것은 말의 재료를 많이 가지고 있다는 것이다.

필요한 곳에 알맞은 어휘를 찾아 올바른 용법에 따라 사용하는 것은
언어 표현에서 가장 우선하는 단계라 하겠다.

나의 경우 평소 남의 이야기에 귀를 기울이다가 "아, 저건 참 좋은
표현이구나, 교훈적인 내용이구나"하고 생각되는 것이 있다면
그 즉시메모해 둔다.


그리고 매일 신문사설, 칼럼등을 꼼꼼히 읽는다.
신문은 사회 상식과고급 어휘를 익힐 수 있는 좋은 교과서가 되기 때문이다.

읽으면서 감명을 받은 내용이나, 웃기는 이야기, 슬픈이야기,
공감이 가는 좋은 구절이 나오면 가장 중요하다고 생각되는 요점을
최소한의 글자수로 적어둔다.

그 많은 내용을 통째로 베끼는 것은 바람직하지 않는 방법이기 때문이다.

내 손으로 일일이 기록을 하기 때문에 애착이 가고 이것을 대화나
강연에사용한다면 어떻게 적용할 수 있을까를 생각해 본다.

물론 신문 사설이나 칼럼 등을 읽기가 처음에는 딱딱하고
입에 설어서 잘 읽혀지지 않는다.

그러나 언어 습득은 머리로 공부하는 것이 아니다. 기술을 배우는
것처럼 반복을 통해서 자연스럽게 익히는 과정이기 때문에


몇 번이고 반복해서 읽는다. 입에 붙을 때까지 읽는다.

읽다가 의미를 모르는 단어는 사전을 찾아 보고 어색하고 발음이
안되는 부분은 입으로 즉시 옮길 수 있을 정도로 익숙할 때까지 읽는다.

소리내어 읽게 되면 글을 유창하게 읽을 수 있는 힘도 얻게 되고
논리적인 사고력도 갖게 된다.

그렇게 읽은 문장들은 부지불식간에 자기 것이 될 것이며,
어휘가 느는건 당연하고, 발음도 좋아질 것이다.

다음으로 좋은 문장, 좋은 내용을 습득하였으면
그 내용을 다른 사람에게 직접 사용해 보아야 한다.
읽은 내용을 현장 체험을 통해 재활용 하라는것이다.

머릿속으로 익힌 어휘는 아직까지 완전한 내것이 아니기 때문에 상황에
맞춰 직접 사용해 본 다음부터는 완전한 자기 것이 될 것이다.

따라서 스피치 능력도 함께 향상되는 건 당연하다. 스피치를 잘 하는
방법중에 이 방법을 따라갈 더 좋은 방법을 나는 아직 본적이 없다.

믿지 못하겠으면 일단 한 번 해보라고 권유하고 싶다. 2~3개월 꾸준히
해보면 누구나 달라지는 자신을 체험할 수 있을 것이다.

본원에서는

함축된 내용, 정제된 말,
비유, 강조, 예화, 명언,속담 인용법 등

자신이 습득한 좋은 문장 좋은 내용을
대중 앞에서 직접 발표를 통해,

현장 체험을 습득 하도록
강도 높은 체험 실습을 병행하고 있다.

'경험보다 더 좋은 학교는 없다"
나는 이 말을 수 없이 강조하고 싶다.

일기, 방패특급전투요원, 개인화기사격, 군지대대, 매화, 회식, 대대장, 작통관, 현대웅변스피치

일기
오늘은 오후에 군지대대에 가서 개인화기 사격을 실시했다.
주간사격 3회, 방독면사격 2회를 실시. 아 먼저 영점사격 4회를 실시했다.
총기가 전임중대장 총이라 영점사격 4회로 영점을 잡았는데 호흡불량으로 좌우탄이 많이 나왔다.
주간사격은 7발, 9발, 10발
방독면사격은 8발, 9발이 나왔다.
다음주부터는 내가 전담교관으로 우리대대 5명(이번에는 많이 저조하다)을 대상으로 집체교육을 실시할 예정이다.

사격을 갔다오니 족구를 한다.
오늘은 스피치학원에 가는 날이라서 사격갔다와서 씻고 가려고 했다.
그런데 대대장이 중대장들과 참모들과 같이 족구를 했고 뒤에 회식까지 했다.
학원을 갔어야 했는데 저녁한끼만 할 것으로 생각하고 회식자리에 참석했다.
늦게와서 죄송하다는 이야기를 먼저 해주었다.
짜장면 집이었는데 고량주가 준비되어 있었다.
고량주를 한잔씩 들고 뒤에는 양주와 맥주를 섞은 폭탄주를 마셨다.
이런 제길...
학원에 못가겠네...
떠들고 왁자지껄 회식 분위기는 좋았다.

그런데 작통관이 나를 긁는다.
내가 경례하는 것을 두고 계속 따라하면서 기분을 긁는다.
족구 실력이 어떤지 알고 있다느니, 그래서 내일 하면 이길 수 있다고 한다.
오늘 아침 상황보고 시간에 칭찬합시다 현황에서 본부중대가 한달동안 0건이니 어떠니 하면서
기분을 긁었었다.
몇번이고 그렇게 하였는데 회식분위기를 위해서 아무런 이야기는 하지 않았지만 기분은 상당히 나빴다.

오늘 학원에 가지 못한 것이 굉장히 아쉽다.
지금 중대장실에 노트북을 가져와서 기사를 읽고 있는 중이다.
하루치의 기사를 모두 읽을 생각....

내일 주간회의가 있으니 준비해야할 문서는
병력결산, 주간훈련예정표, 정신교육복안서, 탐조집체교육계획, 방패특급전투요원 교육계획까지...
그리고 대대장이 지적한 것으로 상향식 일일결산 내실있게 작성하고...
내일은 작전진지 순찰 가려고 한다.

기사좀 읽고 시작해야지...
기분이 더러워서 일찍 자려다가 노트북 들고 중대장실에 온것..

일기,

일기.
오늘 낮에는 과 이곳저곳을 다니면서 이런저런 이야기를 많이 했다.
5분대기조에 투입하는 중대병력이 휴가를 다녀와 임무를 할 수 없다는 것 때문에 후배장교가 나에게 왔다. 본인이 뭔가 말을 하러 온 것이다. 말을 들어줬다. 무슨말인지 알겠다라고 이야기를 해주었다.

그 뒤에 분대장과 해당 인원에게 교육을 했다.
권총사격 준비를 했으며,
점심시간에는 후배장교인 작통을 먼저 밥 먹도록 보냈다. 점심시간전에 네가 먼저 밥먹으러 갈래, 아니면 있다가 갈래라고 물었더니 지난주에는 계속 혼자서 밥먹으러 갔다고 한다. 가려운 부분을 제대로 긁었다.

탐조집체교육계획보고를 만들었다.

선배장교(통신소대장)과 방패특급전투에 나가기 위해서 공부할 자료를 출력해 뒀고, 운동을 하기로 했다.

저녁에는 스피치 학원에 갔는데 오늘은 다른 사람들이 말하는 것에 위축이 되어 말을 제대로 하지 못했다. 말을 어떻게 하면 잘할까. 이것이 나의 가장 큰 고민이다. 원장에게 물었더니 신물을 많이 보라고 한다. 한겨레 신문을 띄워놓고 읽고 있는 중이다.

오늘 날씨가 많이 춥다.....
현재 나의 스피치 수준은,
한가지 사실에 대해서 나의 생각을 논리정연하게 말하기 힘듦.

노력하자.

학원마치고 이마트에 들러서 탁상시계와 계란 두판을 사왔다.
